FAQs & Visitor Information
Accessibility
The gardens are situated in a valley that slopes down to seven interlaced lakes, pathways are accessible by wheelchair but the steep slopes and return climb make this prohibitive. The top part of the gardens including the house, visitor centre, rock garden and wallabies are easily accessible by wheelchair and for those with restricted mobility.
The gardens have put in place a number of measures to assist with accessibility for all:
Motorised All Terrain Scooters
These are available on a first come, first served basis and can be rented for £15, to reserve please ring ahead if possible. Visitors are welcome to use their own mobility scooters but must be careful with the terrain.
Courtesy Wheelchairs
Available on a first come first served basis. A refundable deposit of £20 is required.
Wheelchair Accessible Parking
Accessible parking spots are clearly marked in the car park and allow easy access into the visitor centre.
Golf Buggies
These are manned by volunteers who transport visitors down into the gardens and back again. This is a great option for those with limited mobility.
